New School Building Granted Planning Permission

Rosmini Community School is delighted to announce that our proposed new school building has received planning permission. NMA Architects have provided an architectural rendering of our new school building. This image shows the view from the exit on Gracepark Road. These are exciting times for all in Rosmini and we look forward to moving into this wonderful new facility in the not so distant future.

28 February 2018 - Statement from the Department of Education & Skills

Rosmini Community School will remain closed on Thursday, 1 March and Friday, 2 March.

The following statement has been released by the Minister for Education:

"Given the disruption to transport and the safety risks arising, most particularly in relation to the ability to get home safely before blizzard like conditions hit Munster and Leinster, all schools, third level institutions, colleges and centres of further education in red areas will be closed tomorrow and Friday".

Please stay safe over the next couple of days.

Let the tweeting begin!

Rosmini Community School is now available on Twitter. Our page can be found @Rosminischool. It will highlight the day to day goings on in and out of the school. We do so many great things that we have to show the community and indeed the world, what it is we do. It is an excellent promotional tool which will showcase every thing from day to day events, examples of students brilliant work, competitions, etc. Please give us a follow and feel free to tweet or retweet us if you get the chance.

Exceptional School Closure - Monday 16 October

Due to Hurricane Ophelia and the resulting status orange wind warning the school will remain closed tomorrow, Monday, 16 October. The decision has been taken in the interests of the health and safety of our staff and students. The danger has been exacerbated by the current open nature of our temporary campus. Parents and students are asked to help spread the word as it will be very difficult to contact all students.

Principal's Message

Congratulations to all our students and staff on a very successful first term. Well done to all our students who received awards in the area of sports, music and academia, we are all very proud of you.

Work has commenced on our new school and a design team has been appointed. The DES has decided to demolish our existing building and build us a new school. In the long term this is the best option and we look forward to seeing the work progressing over the following months.
