Tomi Reichental, Holocaust Surviver, talks to History Students

On Thursday the 1st of October, Mr Faherty & Mr. Turbitt brought a group of 5th & 6th year students to a talk from a holocaust survivor, Tomi Reichental. He spoke passionately and informatively on his experience of life inside the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. He captured the attention of the students with his honest delivery and they thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Senior Students Attend Abbey Theatre Talk

On Tuesday the 6th of October both Leaving Cert and 5th year students attended the Abbey Theatre for a talk on the 1916 rising to coincide with the students starting Sean O'Casey's magnificent play The Plough and The Stars.  Students had the privilege and pleasure of taking part in a talk by historian Fearghal McGarry for the launch of his essay The Abbey Theatre and Easter 1916 and for a discussion of the Abbey Theatre’s involvement in the events of Easter 1916.
