Rosmini Contest Basketball Semi-final

On Tuesday, 30th November, Rosmini played Sutton Park in the semi-final of the U16 Basketball League. We are having a great season so far having defeated Fingall CC, Ardgillan CC, Trinity Comprehensive and Salesian College, Celbridge. We had an excellent start to this game with early scores from Ethan Hackett Kissane [captain] and JJ Jimenez. Defensively we were very strong and kept Sutton Park scoreless until the end of the first quarter. Some poor shooting and lack of concentration in the second quarter allowed them back into the game.

Continued Success for Basketball Team

Quarter final:
Rosmini 43 – 18 Salesians
We have a well-balanced team with experienced and players new to the game. We train each Wednesday in DCU St Pats..
Roll on to the semis. Go Rosser!!

Some Memories of Last Year

A quick look back over the previous academic year has brought the memories flooding back of some highlights that we failed to mark on the webpage. The pictures show the first years taking part in some bodhran classes. When the fine tuning was perfected, parents were invited in for a performance. Senior classes visited Poland and were very impressed by the Salt Mines. The third years took part in a debating competition and won.

On the 12th of May 2016 Rosmini Girls Soccer played a junior match again Ringsend College. The match was played in very high spirits on a sun drenched pitch in Irishtown stadium. The final result in a very competitive match was 13-11 to Ringsend College. Both sides really enjoyed the match, made new friends and got a bit of a tan! Well played Rosmini

Second Year Hike

Although the day began ominously with the patter of a few raindrops, the classes of 2R and 2G managed to get some of the best of the May weather last Thursday, 21st May on their hike. With a delayed start to the day, the group was put through a forced march to the Clontarf dart station to catch the 9.10am hourly train to Greystones. With minutes to spare the train was boarded and the journey to Wicklow began.
