O'Donnell House was bursting with excited students, proud parents and happy teachers as the incredibly successful Transition Year 2017 - 2018 drew to a close yesterday (24 May). Mr D'Arcy welcomed the guests and Mr Gallagher invited the speakers to the podium, all eager to share their experiences of this great year. There were pupil stories from Paul Simionescu, a letter of thanks from our Italian friends read by Louise Barry and the showing of "TY, a Visual Journey" by Paul Simionescu, Tuomas Bazzan and Lucia Chidovat. Patrick Hennessy, sadly returning to the Ring Gaeltacht to study for his Leaving Cert "as Gaeilge" brought the house down with a wonderful rendition of "You Raise me Up" accompanied by Ms McSwiney. We will miss you, Patrick, and wish you well. The best cheer of the afternoon was for Cian McEvoy who is leaving to begin a course in ChildVision. Best of luck, Cian, we'll miss you!
