On Tuesday the 6th of October both Leaving Cert and 5th year students attended the Abbey Theatre for a talk on the 1916 rising to coincide with the students starting Sean O'Casey's magnificent play The Plough and The Stars. Students had the privilege and pleasure of taking part in a talk by historian Fearghal McGarry for the launch of his essay The Abbey Theatre and Easter 1916 and for a discussion of the Abbey Theatre’s involvement in the events of Easter 1916.
Rosmini is delighted to be involved in the DCU UniTY programme. UniTY is a skills based programme specifically aimed at Transition Year students. It has been designed to increase student engagement in education and raise motivation and career aspirations and broaden students' world view. Other classes benefit through Maths quizzes, "Junior Discover" pathways to third level, DCU "Summer Scholars" programme, rugby and soccer blitzes.
