Members of Team Ember are aware that this time of year can be very stressful for students preparing for state exams. They have created a new initiative to offer these students respite from study every Monday lunchtime from 13.20-13.40. The Resource Cabin has been transformed into The Little Wellbeing Room - a hospitable and welcoming space for students looking to relax and unwind during break time.
On Monday 8th May 2017, colourful cushions, bean bags and sofa chairs have been laid out to provide comfortable seating for students visiting the space. A range of teas, coffees, juices, water and snacks were offered to refresh students who drop by. Relaxing music, guided meditations, incense and other decorations helped to create a tranquil ambience for students in need for relaxation.
Tips on self-care such as staying active, eating & sleeping well, connecting with friends, etc. were offered to help students cope with exam anxiety and stress over the coming weeks.
Doors open to The Little Wellbeing Room next Monday lunchtime at 13.20. We will have the kettle on the boil and hope to see our lovely 3rd and 6th years there.
