This whole school initiative will be the first big event in our endeavour to secure the Yellow Flag for inclusive, inter-cultural schools in Ireland.
Monday 6th November 2017:
08.30-09.30: Sacred Places - 2nd year visit to a Hindu Temple with chanting/mantras from morning prayers (Ananada Siddhi Vinayaka Temple).
10.30-11.30: Sacred Places - 2nd year trip to the Mosque (guided tour with Ali Saleem from Islamic Cultural Centre).
14.20-15.40: Big Religion Quiz – TY students’ knowledge of the major world faiths will be put to the test in this fun and interactive quiz.
Rosmini is delighted to be involved in the DCU UniTY programme. UniTY is a skills based programme specifically aimed at Transition Year students. It has been designed to increase student engagement in education and raise motivation and career aspirations and broaden students' world view. The curriculum is made up of Multimedia & Social Innovation, Smart Skills, Employability & Leadership and Student Empowerment. Other classes benefit through Maths quizzes, "Junior Discover" pathways to third level, DCU "Summer Scholars" programme, rugby and soccer blitzes.
