3V spent last Thursday, 6th December, filling a Luas tram with shoeboxes! No, we haven't all gone bonkers in Rosmini! The was in aid of Inner City Helping Homeless (ICHH) and is part of the Junior Cert. CSPE project. Members of the public were asked to donate shoeboxes filled with essential goods – such as warm clothes and toiletries - for adults and children who are homeless, in emergency accommodation such family hubs or direct provision, or in need of assistance this festive season.
Rosmini is delighted to be involved in the DCU UniTY programme. UniTY is a skills based programme specifically aimed at Transition Year students. It has been designed to increase student engagement in education and raise motivation and career aspirations and broaden students' world view. The curriculum is made up of Multimedia & Social Innovation, Smart Skills, Employability & Leadership and Student Empowerment. Other classes benefit through Maths quizzes, "Junior Discover" pathways to third level, DCU "Summer Scholars" programme, rugby and soccer blitzes.
