Rosmini is delighted to be involved in the DCU UniTY programme. UniTY is a skills based programme specifically aimed at Transition Year students. It has been designed to increase student engagement in education and raise motivation and career aspirations and broaden students' world view. The curriculum is made up of Multimedia & Social Innovation, Smart Skills, Employability & Leadership and Student Empowerment. Other classes benefit through Maths quizzes, "Junior Discover" pathways to third level, DCU "Summer Scholars" programme, rugby and soccer blitzes. Congratulations to our troupe of thespians who excelled in the recent production of Macbeth, which took place on 6th and 7th February 2013. Students on from all year groups were involved in the production though the majority of the actors were drawn from 5th year as these students are studying the play for their honours Leaving Certificate English in 2014.

We spent the first day going from the 'The Beatles story museum' which is on one end of Albert dock, to the 'Fab 4 experience' on the other side. This was a 3D story which had the Beatles top tunes playing throughout. We also visited the Titanic exhibition on that day as it was a recent edition to the docks and we all had an interest in this ship's tragic history.

![]() The Leaving Certificate Applied and Transition Year classes visited Titanic Belfast on Tuesday, 27 November 2012. The tour was a great success and has provided plenty of material for the 6S Hotel, Catering and Tourism, 5S English and Communications and TY Heritage modules.
