Following their victorious campaign in the group stages of the Dublin East competition Rosmini U-16 boys played the semi-final on December 6th 2013. Their opponents were Adamstown Community College who had also won their group. Rosser had a very strong start with Matt Treacy and the Maloney brothers, Adam and Mark, getting valuable points on the board. Rosmini led 19-10 after the first quarter....

The Dublin School Championships were held in Colaiste Eoin on Wednesday, 27th November and Rosmini Community School did quite well. Amy Lynch and Mary McGovern won gold and silver in the Senior girls under 52kg category. Conor Madden achieved gold in his weight category. Christmas Fair, 1pm to 4pm, Saturday, 7th December 2013
Following the success of last year's inaugural Christmas Fair, the event will make a welcome return next month. This year the fair moves to the main hall in Childvision. It runs from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday, 7th December.

Third years attend the creative writing workshop in Smock Alley Theatre

Transition Year students are attending a lecture in Kevin Street DIT (Friday 15 November) on the topic of Virtual Reality. Dr Bryan Duggan will show how Virtual Reality is becoming mainstream through state of the art technologies.

The first years today (13 November 2013) enjoyed a workshop on robotics presented by the DCU Physics department as part of Science Week. At the end of the session, robots designed by students participated in a grand battle.  Students learned about physics topics such as electricity, motors, movement and vibration. Students worked in teams of 2 or 3 and all found it a very enjoyable learning...

Well done to the first years on winning the best overall school merit award at the tag rugby blitz in Dublin City University last Friday (8 November 2013). Our first years have been learning about the game in their PE classes over the last six weeks. It was great to see such improvement with each game they played in. In recognition of the school's close links with the ESB, the 6th Year Mentoring Award ceremony will take place on May 13th 2013. Frances Fitzgerald T.D. will be presenting the awards.
