New School Building Granted Planning Permission
Rosmini Community School is delighted to announce that, in June 2018, our proposed new building has received planning permission from An Bord Pleanála. Granted initial permission by Dublin City Council in August 2017, this move by an Bord Pleanála, is wonderful news for all involved in the school. We have been providing inclusive education on this site since 1970 and we very much look forward to continuing this tradition. This image, provided by NMA Architects, shows the view from the exit on Gracepark Road. These are exciting times for all in Rosmini and this decision brings our new school one step closer.
President Higgins visits Rosmini
President Higgin's visit to Rosmini was a truly memorable experience for all on campus. Here the president is photographed with recently retired principal, Ms Cherry, former deputy principal, Ms Bourke and the Rosmini Student Council organised by Ms Dunphy. During his visit the president said "this is not just a school it is also a real community, a place that doesn't simply value a pupil by how well they do at their lessons but also by how hard they work, by how well they treat each other and of course by how much use they make of all of the individual talents they have been given.
Facilities in Rosmini
The image shows Transition Year students showcasing their digital talents. Our current temporary accommodation has a number of specialist rooms including science, art, music, ICT, woodwork & metalwork, VI resource and learning support. We are grateful to All Hallows College (now part of Dublin City University) who are sharing their wonderful campus with us. We look forward to our new building, complete with state of the art facilities, including sports hall, which in June 2018 was granted permission by An Bord Pleanála.

Congratulations to Tyrone Brady, Josh Kennedy and David Kaye on winning our annual Science Week Table Quiz. The top three teams fought neck and neck all the way. After the last round, a single point separated the top two teams. Well done and enjoy the cinema vouchers.
Ms O'Brien sent us a note about the annual Maths Week quiz. Well done to Nathan Sheehan Brennan, Aisling Coombes and Luke Martin on their winning performance. Cinema vouchers are on the way to the winners.
To those who did not win on this occasion, we are reminded of a quote from Albert Einstein, "Do not worry about your difficulties in Mathematics. I can assure you mine are still greater!"
As it's the month of November we pause to remember our loved ones has passed away. In this special moment during our first year prayer service it seems the ray of heaven were beaming on our sacred space. Thanks to Ms Barrett, our chaplain, for passing on this photo.

Chaplain, Ms Barrett informs us that the students of Rosmini have been very busy preparing shoeboxes for Team Hope. The boxes are filled with lots of little surprises in the hope that they bring joy into the lives of the children who received them.
Over the last eighteen years Team Hope has delivered your shoebox gifts to over three million children, to some of the remotest and poorest parts of...
